Former ERC Employee Max Lennon Dies

It is with sadness that we share the news that a former ERC employee has passed away. Max Lennon, who worked with the ERC until 2004 and then started the partner organization Education & Research Services (also nonprofit) where he served as President, died Tuesday, November 29, 2016.
The ERC offers its deepest condolences to his family.
His funeral will be Monday, December 5, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at Asheville First Baptist Church.

NC releases its State broadband plan

“Released today, the [NC State broadband] plan outlines recommendations for the state to increase internet access, focusing on lowering infrastructure construction costs, preparing a 21st century workforce, increasing small business adoption, and expanding access for K-12 students at home.”
